Why the name Peace & Shake?

The name Peace & Shake comes from a special place. The name is based on a childhood handshake one of our members and her siblings shared with their dad. Peace (they would put two fingers out to make a peace sign and would tap their peace signs together) always wishing his kids peace and happiness in their lives followed by a firm handshake. Their dad always told them that when saying hello, you reach out your hand, always look that person in the eye and give them a firm handshake.  He saw this as a sign of respect and connecting with others. The meaning behind this unique childhood handshake embodies our core values of respect, connections, gratitude, and love.
